This focus has enabled SCD to stay ahead of ever changing legislation and increasingly demanding customer expectations.

Quality

Quality assurance measured from the customers point of view. SCD is committed to a process of continual improvement in all aspects of its works. This is audited annually by an independent 3rd party.

Environment

SCD’s commitment to its environmental responsibilities means it uses recycled materials wherever possible, recycles its waste whenever it can, uses its vehicles more efficiently and support its customer’s green initiatives.

Occupational Health and Safety

The core of SCD's operations is key looking after its staff, customers and members of the public. This important certification compliments SCD's CHAS accreditation and includes an annual external audit to assure all work.

CHAS

CHAS is the government sponsored accreditation scheme. All aspects of SCD’s approach to Health & Safety are audited by collecting evidence of the training given to its staff and the method statements and risk assessments shared with customers.

British Safety Council

Membership of the British Safety Council re-enforces SCD’s commitment to Health and Safety. It provides the company's staff with an invaluable resource to keep up with all the latest legislation, initiatives and better ways of working.

Constructionline

Constructionline is an independent pre-qualification database used by over 60% of local authorities. All aspects of SCD’s business have been vetted and recorded so that prospective customers can reduce their procurement cycle by using pre-qualified companies.

FIA

SCD directors have been involved in optical fibre communications for over 30 years. Their unparalleled experience brings genuine advantage to our customers where “dark fibre“ WANs and industrial networking infrastructures are required.

NICEIC

SCD’s NICEIC certification means it can provide electrician services along side optical fibre and copper cabling installations. This means that SCD can provide a one-stop-shop for all cabling requirements. SCD also install slow and high voltage cabling in multi-utility infrastructures.

HERS

SCD is accredited to the Highways Electrical Registration Scheme. This is mandatory for contractors performing electrical works for the Highways Agency. SCD holds this certificate so that it can install Ethernet switches, CCTV cameras and other equipment in the street environment.

NERS

Lloyd's Register operates the National Electricity Registration Scheme. SCD has successfully completed this independent assessment process. We have gained their assignment of an accreditation mark which represents the achievement of a high technical, quality and safety standard.

SAFEcontractor

To gain accreditation with the SAFEcontractor Scheme, SCD underwent an examination process, auditing SCD’s Health & Safety procedures and safety record. SCD is accredited for a range of services, including low voltage system installation and Highways Civil and Telecom Construction to name a few. Accreditation with this Industry recognised scheme further assures SCD’s Health & Safety systems, principles and capabilities.
